This is a one of a kind collaborative board with photog extraordinaire, Laura Austin. We caught up a few months back & I shared with her an idea for a ‘Coastal Californian summer’ themed surfboard installation I have planned to welcome the best time of year to live in said local. There probably isn’t another image that better captures the essence of what I had in mind, so I was so stoked when I saw that Laura had chosen to use this image. The tower is so iconicly Newport Beach & I love how from a distance the image reads as a painted horizontal stripe . The shape is a classic twin fin with a deep swallow tail, complete with a dripping gloss polish finish and a woven PIETY label.
This board will be on display at Bear Flag Fish Co. in Newport Beach come July.
