Dave wanted to keep length to a minimum without going too round & fishy. At his size, typical shortboard proportions can get too needley for the surf this bad boy is intended for and fishier shapes don’t deliver the crisp vertical performance he is after.
The MICRO DOT was the solution, plenty of hidden volume with the outline and rocker profile of a compact performance shortboard.
